About Storebro Bruk AB
Already in the 1730s, both bar iron hammers and blast furnaces had been erected on site in Storebro, next to Stångån. Around 1910, Storebro Bruk started manufacturing crude oil engines. They had previously manufactured, among other things, agricultural implements. Along with the manufacture of spark plug engines, other workshop machines such as e.g. metal lathes, in which it was a leader. In 1963, Örnmaskiner buys Storebro Bruk, which manufactured boats. The name Storebro is kept - which many people today recognize from boat manufacturing.
