About Målilla Mekaniska Verkstad

In 1907, Carl August Alm (1872–1955) founded Målilla Mekaniska Verkstad, where they did both mechanical repairs and manufactured bicycles. As early as 1908, they had their first spark plug engine ready, and it was a design signed by Carl August Alm himself. The engine was developed to power a threshing mill. The engine should still be there today. The company John Thermaenius & Son in Hallsberg sold engines from Målilla under the name "Göta" until 1912. Engines were manufactured until 1957.
